Each time a new family registers with the parish, a representative from the congregation will contact them in order to provide an official welcome, to introduce them to the events and activities that may be of interest, to answer any questions they may have, and to ensure that they will be contacted by someone in any area or ministry in which they may wish to become involved. You will notice at each Mass on the weekend there are members of the congregation welcoming all parishioners and visitors. These fellow parishioners are there to greet you, but also to assist you and to provide any information or direction you may need. Top of Page

We will be providing an opportunity for members of the Church community to meet, mingle, and share experiences with each other over coffee and snacks. We welcome you to join us in the Church Hall each Sunday following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Top of Page

Receptions are an integral part of our welcoming aspect of St. Joan of Arc Parish. Throughout the year we celebrate milestones in the lives and faith journeys of our parishioners. The Easter Vigil, First Communion, Confirmation, Newly Married Couples and the celebrations of the year's Baptisms are a few of the many celebrations undertaken at St. Joan of Arc.

For example, a reception in the honour of all:
1. Baptisms and Marriages held throughout the year are scheduled during the Feast of the Holy Family
2. An R.C.I.A. reception is held after the Easter Vigil, and
3. First Reconciliation (Confession), First Communion participants celebrate in the Church Hall, following their initiation Mass.
