1. Introduction

We have a number of groups and clubs that get together on a regular basis to socialize and to pursue common interests. These very popular offerings at St. Joan of Arc Parish provide a wonderful vehicle that allows us to bring our parishioners closer together and helps us to create and enhance the warm, family atmosphere that is such an important part of our Church philosophy. Some of these gatherings are purely social, while others work to provide help and support to the greater community. We welcome you to join us! Top of Page

2. MerryMakers (Senior)

This group of our "Senior" members of our faith community. It is open to all seniors, regardless of church affiliation. The purpose of the group is to offer Seniors the opportunity to get together on a social basis. The MerryMakers meet on the third Tuesday of every month, from September through June. The format of the day includes: various spiritual services or gatherings, (e.g.: Eucharist, Ecumenical prayer, sacrament of Reconciliation), attending a special Mass at 12:15 p.m., followed by lunch, prepared by our volunteers (you do not want to miss this special gourmet treat!). 4. St. Vincent De Paul Society

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an organization dedicated to providing direct services and financial aid to the poor through local parish conference. We fill the gap left by the government and other agencies, providing those in need with home visits and financial support as well as fundraising for Marygrove Camp. If you know someone who needs their help please call (416) 762-1026 ext. 232 and leave a message. They do not have an office here but they do check the messages on their extension each day.

Together with St. Vincent de Paul Society we have the group providing help with the furniture pick up, repair and re-allocation (i.e. delivery) called the St. Joan of Arc and St. Cecilia's Bed Society. Top of Page

5. Development & Peace

The Development and Peace organization supports hundreds of partner organizations in the developing world who are working to heighten awareness in our local parish, change the social or economic situation of their people and to improve life in their communities and regions. If you wish to bring a special situation to their attention, or to learn more about what they do, please contact the church office. Top of Page
